Ready for a new solution

Service Team Nyborg has provided cleaning and laundry services to Nyborg Kommune's institutions since 2008. The company operates a central laundry for the municipality, washing mops and cloths from municipal cleaning tasks, as well as clothing and linens for the municipality’s referred residents.

Service Team Nyborg developed a thoughtful system where residents' clothes are labeled and washed in separate nets. This ensures good service but also imposes large and complex demands on a modern and reliable central laundry. And that was precisely what Service Team sought.

Service Team Nyborg had a relatively new laundry. The company owned the machines, intending to use them until they wore out. However, the management was also open to ambitious innovation.

They became curious about Nortec’s TotalCare solution and the possibility of a completely new form of collaboration – even though it entailed a significant restructuring.

As a public supplier, it was crucial for Service Team Nyborg that the solution did not become more expensive. There needed to be budget security throughout the agreement period to maintain competitiveness. Additionally, the laundry solution needed to be adaptable quickly and without significant costs.

Needs assessment

Together with Service Team Nyborg, Nortec identified the need for a laundry solution. Efficiency was key, so we examined the daily laundry volume, portion sizes and types of textiles washed.

Based on this, we provided a non-binding proposal detailing the number and type of machines suitable for Service Team Nyborg's needs. This included prices for washing and drying and a transparent presentation of the financial model for the collaboration, along with the recommended service solution.

This comprehensive proposal led to Service Team Nyborg’s decision. A written agreement was created, summarizing everything clearly and understandably.

The project was then handed over to Nortec’s project department, which planned the process, set up the new laundry, and installed the agreed machines. Service Team's new laundry was now ready for use.

New laundry - without investment or loss

The washing machines in Service Team Nyborg’s new laundry have a capacity of up to 32 kg, and the dryers are gas-powered for economic and environmental benefits. If needs change, the machine setup is adjusted at no cost, making the solution flexible and risk-free. Nortec bought the existing laundry machines, avoiding any loss from the replacement.

With TotalCare, Service Team Nyborg pays per machine start, covering only actual consumption. The price per start includes water, electricity, gas, special detergent and various programs, all without any investment from Service Team Nyborg.

A partnership based on knowledge sharing

For Service Team Nyborg, the main advantage of their daily operations is the agreement on free service. The management has been highly satisfied with outsourcing all responsibilities for machines and operations to Nortec.

Service Team Nyborg's employees, all specially trained, can directly call their local service technician in case of operational issues, rather than a call center.

Service Team Nyborg's management entered into the partnership with Nortec with high expectations. The collaboration has become a fruitful exchange of knowledge and experience, especially since Jytte Hansen, the manager, is also a board member of the Danish Cleaning Technical Association.
