Nortec acquires drivee

Nortec strengthens its position and becomes one of Denmark’s largest players in the public charging station market with the acquisition of drivee, effective from 1 September 2025. With drivee on board, we are even better equipped to deliver professional charging solutions to housing associations, apartment buildings, and businesses – while taking an important step towards a greener shared future.

A key step in our journey

The acquisition of drivee is a natural and welcome step for Nortec. Both companies share the same values: quality, simplicity, and attentive service. Together, we now have an even greater opportunity to develop solutions that make everyday life easier for EV drivers across Denmark.

Our focus has always been to offer accessible and user-friendly solutions to our core customers. With drivee as part of Nortec, we strengthen our capabilities and open up new opportunities that benefit both customers and users.

Continuing the growth journey

drivee is a Danish charging station operator that, in just a few years, has grown to manage approximately 2,300 charging points in Denmark – including both AC and DC chargers. The company will continue as an independent brand under the same name, so customers will not experience any changes in their daily use.

We are extremely proud that drivee is now becoming part of Nortec. We see a clear synergy in our approach to both solutions and customer service, and we look forward to contributing our expertise to Nortec’s continued journey.

New expertise

As part of the acquisition, drivee co-owners Kristoffer Krüger and Simon Slott May will join Nortec, where they will play a central role in the further development of charging solutions. Their experience and industry knowledge bring strong competencies in technology, installation, and service.

drivee co-owner Peter Lorentzen is selling his shares but will continue to collaborate with drivee as a supplier and sparring partner.

It has been an exciting journey being a co-owner of drivee, and I’ve had a strong collaboration with Kristoffer and Simon. Now the time has come for drivee to take the next step, and we are convinced that Nortec is the right partner to further develop the company.

A unified strength

The acquisition also includes drivee’s installation department, which will now become an integrated part of Nortec. This means we can now manage the entire process – from installation to ready-to-use charging stations. The result is a complete solution where our customers can confidently leave everything to Nortec.

We believe in a greener future

The acquisition of drivee is more than a strategic expansion – it is an investment in a future where electric vehicles play a central role in Denmark’s green transition. With drivee on board, we can continue to develop the best solutions for our customers that strengthen Denmark’s charging network, making it easier for everyone to choose electric vehicles.

We believe that together with customers, partners, and users, we can create a future where sustainability and technology go hand in hand. Our mission is to make the green choice the easy choice – and with drivee on board, we are taking a big step in that direction while expanding Denmark’s charging network.
